Transport#
If you are thinking of  hiring  a taxi transfer, there are always plenty of taxis available from the lines outside of the arrivals hall, although on occasions you should be prepared to queue, and in theory at least, they should all operate on a fixed price basis, typically charging around €75 for the journey to Alcudia.

Alcudia information

Also  for those of you visiting Alcudia with their families  and their  small children, be aware that the  taxis do not have  as a rule  to carry child seats, therefore children may have to sit on their parent's knee for the journey. If this is a cause for concern, we strongly recommend that you make arrangements for a pre-booked taxi to be waiting for you. Also have in mind that the transfer should take approximately 1.1/2 hours, however, at least one of the major tour operators is known to drop guests off at the nearby resort of Puerto Pollensa before making the short trip over to Alcudia, which is effectively adding another 45 minutes to the trip.

Money #

Spain's official currency is the Euro .Money can be exchanged at bureaux de change and major hotels. Be aware that all  major credit cards and travellers cheques are widely accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops and ATMs are widespread and is undoubtedly the  most convenient method of obtaining money.

Climate#
Spain is extremely hot during mid-summer, in July and August. The best time to visit is during spring or autumn, except for the Atlantic coast, which has heavy rains in October and November. August is the busiest month, while May and October are the best times   to visit Costa Dorada as its whether is ideal and it’s not very croweded .

Language#

Spanish is the official language, but English is widely understood in areas frequented by tourists. Also  Catalan, Galician and Basque are spoken in the relevant areas.

Health#

There are no health risks connected  to  travelling to the beautiful   Spain, and no vaccination certificates are required for entry. Be aware that Spain has a mutual health agreement with most EU countries, including the UK, providing free emergency health care at State run hospitals. UK travellers should take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
