The fast motorway will take you as far north as the town of Inca and then you willl be taken  straight in to the middle of Alcudia. Be aware that the resort is quite remote and some considerable distance from the centre of Alcudia offering you the chance to relax  and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. Besides great efforts have been made by  the local council  to   improve  the appearance and general upkeep of the public areas of the town, which is something that can only be of a benefit in the long term if visitors return as a result making the life of the locals and the stay of the travellers so much better.

Peter Ustinov fell in love with the northern of the island and came every year to Hotel Formentor. Also the artists Yannick Vu, Ben Jakober ,part of their work is shown at the Yannick Vu and Ben Jakober Foundation and the futurist Aligi Sassu are linked to Alcúdia. There's a piece of work by Aligi Sassu, an enormous horse, which can be seen at one of the roundabouts in Alcúdia.
